Artist's Comments "I know you I walked with you once upon a dream.I know you The gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam Yes, I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem But if I know you, I know what you'll do you'll love me at once the way you did once upon a dream." I love that song so much! I started this last night and finished this afternoon, with sleep in between of course. So it was a total of about 6 hours spent on this painting. I tried to make the background as close to that of Eyvind Earle's background. (If you don't know who he is he's basically the man who influenced Sleeping Beauty's style and painted the backgrounds for it.) Briar Rose/Aurora's pose was actually based on a picture I took at Anime Expo. [link] And I got the idea to draw it from `bri-chan's twirling princess pieces who was also at the photoshoot dressed as Alice. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments. The 0-5 Comments Issues feature a deviant as well as 3 deviations with less than 5 original comments from a wide selection of art.
